A crash-landing incident occurred in Ibadan, Oyo State, involving a private jet carrying several Very Important Personalities (VIPs).
Firefighters and rescue teams from the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) swiftly responded to the scene, as reported by Channels Television.
This incident comes just two months after a similar event took place at the same location. The private jet, registered as N580KR, was reportedly carrying approximately 10 individuals, primarily VIPs, when it crash-landed around 11:00 am on Friday at the Samuel Ladoke Akintola Airport in Ibadan. The jet missed the runway and veered into the nearby bush.
“It was a private plane from Abuja. It landed safely but overshot the runway. There was no casualty,” a spokesperson for the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA, Carol Adekotujo, told Channels.
