The Adamawa Police Command has initiated a manhunt for the perpetrator of a homicide that occurred in a hotel in Yola, the capital of Adamawa State.
As stated by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, the Commissioner of Police, CP Afolabi Babatola, condemned the brutal killing and promptly ordered an immediate investigation to apprehend the assailant and any accomplices involved in the heinous act.
The Commissioner urged hoteliers to promptly report individuals displaying questionable behavior to the police for swift action and pledged to bring the suspect to justice. The police issued a stern warning that the killing of innocent citizens would no longer be tolerated, emphasizing the sacred value the command places on the lives of all citizens.
The Commissioner emphasized that such unjustifiable acts would be rigorously addressed in accordance with existing laws. The statement also mentioned the commitment of the command to collaborate with other security agencies to protect the fundamental rights of citizens, ensuring the fulfillment of their mandate to serve and safeguard the public.
The Commissioner appealed for calm, assuring the public that the top management of both security agencies is diligently pursuing all legal avenues to apprehend the culprit.
