Bomb explosion: Atiku commiserates with victims’ families

Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, has expressed condolences to the families impacted by the bomb explosion in Oyo State. The explosion occurred at 7:30 p.m. on Dejo Oyelese Street in Old Bodija, Ibadan.

The state governor, Seyi Makinde, attributed the explosion to illegal miners and confirmed that two individuals lost their lives while 77 others sustained injuries.

In a statement posted on his social media page, Atiku extended his sympathy to the state government.

“I wish to express my condolences to the good people and government of Oyo State over the explosion that rocked the capital city of Ibadan late yesterday night.

“While the government continues to provide humanitarian support to victims of the explosion, I commiserate with the families of those who might have lost their lives and property to the explosion.”
