A fresh appointment has been made, with Commandant Adaralewa Micheal Akintayo assuming leadership of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Osun Command. The transfer comes as Commandant Akintayo takes over from Agboola Sunday, who has been reassigned to Ekiti State.
The deployment received approval from Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi, the Commandant General of the NSCDC, as indicated in a statement by the Command’s spokesperson, Adeleke Kehinde. The newly appointed NSCDC Commandant for Osun, Adaralewa Micheal Akintayo, hails from Aisegba Ekiti in Gbonyin local government, Ekiti State.
“He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Sciences and PhD in Public Administration.
“He has attended a remarkable array of courses both home and abroad which includes, Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosives course, Counter Terrorism Crisis Response, Disarmament Demobilization Reintegration Course, Homicide and Violent Crises Investigation Course.”
“Until his redeployment to Osun State, he was the Oyo State Commandant.”
