Kanye West sued for assault, battery by autograph seeker

Renowned American singer Kanye West is facing a lawsuit for purported assault and battery filed by a fan who approached him seeking an autograph.

As per TMZ, the alleged assault took place in 2022 at DTLA, with the autograph seeker stating that he requested an apology from the singer.

In response, Kanye reportedly asked, “Apology for what?” before purportedly striking him multiple times, causing severe injuries.

The plaintiff asserted that during the incident, one of Kanye’s associates attempted to intervene, but Kanye responded by instructing them to “go to the fucking house and get my fucking kids”.

“Kanye screamed, ‘I’m going to make a fucking example of you’, before hitting me with a punch to the face.”

The lawsuit seeks damages, with the claimant contending that he has endured emotional distress as a result of the assault.

Additionally, the fan’s wife is filing a lawsuit against Kanye West for loss of consortium, citing the incident as the cause for the diminished companionship with her husband.
