NiMet, the Nigerian Meteorological Agency, anticipates clear skies and haziness spanning Monday through Wednesday nationwide.
According to NiMet’s latest weather forecast unveiled in Abuja on Sunday, Monday will feature sunny conditions with a hazy atmosphere prevailing in the northern and north-central states.
“Patches of cloud in a hazy atmosphere are anticipated during the morning hours over the inland cities of the south and coastal areas.
“Also with prospects of early morning mist over parts of Lagos, Abia, Anambra, Enugu, Ekiti, Imo, Akwa Ibom, Rivers, Delta, Edo and Cross River states.
“Localized thunderstorm is anticipated over parts of Lagos, Ogun, Ondo and Bayelsa states during the afternoon and evening hours,” it said.
The agency predicts a consistent sunny and hazy environment across the northern and north-central regions during the entire forecast period.
NiMet also foresees intermittent cloudy patches in the hazy morning atmosphere within inland cities of the south and along the coastal areas.
Additionally, it anticipates the possibility of localized thunderstorms occurring in parts of Delta, Lagos, Abia, Ogun, Ondo, Osun, Edo, Bayelsa, and Rivers states during the afternoons and evenings.
