Just In: Buhari’s ex-humanitarian affairs minister, Sadiya Umar Farouq arrives EFCC office

Sadiya Umar Farouq, the ex-Minister of Humanitarian Affairs during former President Muhammadu Buhari’s tenure, has been sighted at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) office. 

Allegations have surfaced regarding a substantial sum of N37,170,855,753.44 reportedly laundered by contractor James Okwete during her tenure, prompting an investigation into her involvement.

She wrote on social media on Monday morning, “I have, at my behest, arrived at the headquarters of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to honour the invitation by the anti-graft agency to offer clarifications in respect of some issues that the commission is investigating.”
