Ngozi Orji, the wife of veteran Nollywood actor Zack Orji, has categorically denied allegations of soliciting financial assistance from the public for her husband’s medical care.
Contrary to reports suggesting that Ngozi sought financial support during a visit by Minister of Arts, Culture, and the Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa, she clarified in a conversation with TheCable that she never made such appeals and doesn’t recall granting any interview to that effect.
In response to the inquiries, she said, “Really? For where na? Who did I tell that one? I don’t remember granting such an interview to anybody. It is well. Please, I never said anything.”
Zack Orji was admitted to the national hospital on December 29, 2023, after reportedly collapsing in his bathroom. Minister Hannatu Musawa later disclosed that the actor underwent brain surgery during her visit on Wednesday.
