Leicester City manager Enzo Maresca has verified that Wilfred Ndidi is facing a period out of action due to a muscular issue.
This setback has already led to his exclusion from participating in Nigeria’s representation at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations. Unfortunately, the 26-year-old midfielder might also be absent for several months from City’s domestic campaign.
“Probably for Wilf, it will be a long time,” Maresca told reporters.
“It could be three months. It looks like a muscular problem, but an important one, so we will see in the next hours but the situation for Wilf is probably the clearest one.”
