The Kebbi State Government has sorrowfully confirmed the passing of Muhammad Bello, the chairman of Maiyama Local Government Area, following an extended period of illness.
Ahmed Idris, the spokesperson for the state governor, conveyed this information in a statement released to the press on Thursday. Bello passed away in the early hours of the morning, and arrangements are underway for his burial later today.
The statement read, “Regrettably, with heavy heart, I announce the death of Hon. Zayyanu Muhammad Bello, Executive Chairman of Maiyama local Government.
“He died early this morning at UDUTH Sokoto after a protracted illness.”
The statement further disclosed that the time for burial will be communicated to the public.
