Police vow to ensure hitch-free celebrations in Taraba

The Nigeria Police Force in Taraba State has activated heightened alertness among its officers and personnel to ensure a secure and seamless Yuletide season across the entire state.

Police Commissioner Joseph O. Eribo conveyed this commitment via a press release issued on Saturday, as conveyed by the command’s spokesperson, Usman Abdullahi.

The directive from Commissioner Eribo mandates area commanders, divisional police officers, and tactical commanders to implement comprehensive security measures before, during, and after the festive period.

This includes the deployment of personnel and operational assets to places of worship, ensuring a robust security presence.

Visibility patrols have been initiated across the state to foster a peaceful and successful celebration. The public has been urged to stay vigilant and promptly report any suspicious activities.

Additionally, the use of fireworks and firecrackers during this season has been prohibited, with parents advised to supervise their children and discourage involvement in criminal behavior.

Commissioner Eribo issued a stern warning to potential troublemakers, underscoring the preparedness of the command to handle any breaches of the law decisively. While the specific number of deployed personnel remains undisclosed, the statement assures the public of sufficient presence to monitor and curtail the activities of unruly elements throughout the state.
