Security: NSA, Ribadu’s rating of Enugu reassuring – NYCN

The Enugu State Chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) responded on Wednesday to the assessment of Enugu’s security situation by the National Security Adviser (NSA), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu.

During the inauguration of the rebuilt zonal office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Enugu, Ribadu praised Governor Peter Mbah’s administration for its efforts in restoring stability in Enugu State. He credited the administration for effectively combating insecurity.

In response, the NYCN, represented by its Enugu State chairman, Bartholomew Ebuka Okoh, commended Mbah for achieving this milestone within a brief six-month period. Okoh highlighted the significance of bolstering security, especially during the festive season, and deemed it praiseworthy.

“Under Governor Mbah’s leadership, Enugu State is witnessing visible improvements in security infrastructure and measures, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of its people and residents.

“Indeed the NYCN acknowledges the governor’s commitment to creating an environment where citizens can thrive and celebrate without fear.

“It is noteworthy that the National Security Adviser (NSA), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, acknowledged this improved security and singled out Enugu State and Governor Mbah for commendation. This is reassuring.

“In light of these security enhancements, the NYCN, Enugu State, urges all Enugu citizens, both within the state and across the globe, to return home and experience firsthand the positive transformations in security initiated by Governor Mbah’s administration.

“The visible improvements in security contribute to a more vibrant and prosperous Enugu, fostering a sense of pride among its residents,” Okoh stated.
