The Osun State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has announced the deployment of 2,350 personnel across the state to ensure robust security measures during the Yuletide period.
According to NSCDC spokesperson Kehinde Adeleke, this deployment aims to provide both covert and overt intelligence, along with 24-hour surveillance to curtail any potential criminal activities.
She further highlighted that State Commandant Sunday Agboola has assured the public of comprehensive security arrangements in the state.
Adeleke specified that personnel will be stationed at various locations including worship centers, marketplaces, recreational spots, critical infrastructure, and identified flashpoints within the state.
“The commandant therefore warned miscreants who are planning to cause breakdown of law and order to have a change of mind, as they would be made to face the full wrath of the law.” she said
Adeleke quoted Agboola as saying, “NSCDC would collaborate with other sister agencies to provide adequate security in Osun State.”
He also urged personnel who have been deployed for the assignment to be civil, but firm in the discharge of their duties.
