Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State expressed his contentment with the improved performance of civil servants during the initial 200 days of his leadership in the state. Mbah conveyed his commendation during the culminating event of the 2023 Enugu State Civil Servants Week held in Enugu.
During the event, the governor assured state workers of an enhanced welfare package under his administration. He highlighted a shift in focus from mere attendance to productivity, aiming to foster a sustainable economy, establish the state as an investment destination, and realize the envisioned $30 billion gross domestic product.
Mbah praised the professionalism of the workers and commended their alignment with the administration’s vision, attributing the achievements of the past 200 days to their resilience, cooperation, and collective spirit.
Representing the governor, the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Chidiebere Onyia, emphasized that the administration’s accomplishments were made possible by the workforce’s dedication, partnership with the authority, and commitment to delivering results.
“The governor wants me to remind you that without your level of professionalism, it will be very difficult to achieve what we have set out to do.
“On this note, he asked me to remind you that the professionalism he has seen in his first 200 days in office should continue to be reflected in the next four years,” he said.
