President Bola Tinubu expressed his condolences to the Ezeife family, the people, and the government of Anambra State following the passing of Chief Chukwuemeka Ezeife, CON, the former governor of the state.
Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Advisor to the President on Media and Publicity, conveyed this in a statement released on Friday.
Chief Ezeife, Okwadike of Igbo-Ukwu and Anambra’s governor from 1992 to 1993, reportedly passed away on Thursday at the age of 85.
Tinubu commended the significant influence of the former federal permanent secretary in Nigeria’s political landscape and his leadership qualities, expressing sorrow over his loss.
The President reflected on Chief Ezeife’s substantial contributions to shaping public discourse and governance in Nigeria, particularly in laying the groundwork for progress in his beloved state.
Offering prayers for the peaceful rest of the departed soul, President Tinubu encouraged the deceased’s loved ones to find comfort in the enduring legacy he leaves behind.
