Medical Leave: Ondo Assembly confirms receipt of letter from Akeredolu

On Wednesday, the Ondo State House of Assembly acknowledged the receipt of a letter from Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, requesting medical leave to seek treatment in Germany.

Mr. Olamide Oladiji, the Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, conveyed this information in a statement released to the press in Akure.

Oladiji clarified that the governor’s decision aligns with Section 190 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended).

According to the speaker, during Governor Akeredolu’s absence, Mr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, the Deputy Governor, will serve as acting governor until Akeredolu communicates his readiness to resume his official duties.

The letter specified that the leave would commence on December 13.

Oladiji expressed gratitude for the governor’s swift recovery and remained optimistic about Akeredolu’s prompt return to resume his responsibilities.
