Leicester City’s forward, Kelechi Iheanacho, is facing uncertainty regarding his participation in the upcoming English Championship home clash against Millwall today, as reported by IWITNESSLIVE Sports.
Having been sidelined in Leicester’s recent 4-0 victory over Plymouth Argyle due to illness, Iheanacho is likely to remain absent from the squad, as indicated by manager Enzo Maresca. The King Power Stadium encounter is further compounded by the absence of key players Jamie Vardy and Kasey McAteer, adding to the team’s challenges in the upcoming fixture.
“We had Kele (Iheanacho) ill and Jamie with a small problem,” Maresca said in his pre-match press conference.
“He (Vardy) has a small problem in his knee. Kasey McAteer has a muscle problem. Yunus is just a small thing, probably he could be with us for the next game. (The others are) doubts. We’ll see.”
Iheanacho has made 20 appearances across all competitions, scoring six times plus two assists.
