Tudun Wada FC wins maiden NLO Cup

Tudun Wada FC clinched the title in the inaugural edition of the Nationwide League One Cup, securing victory against Palm Syrup FC with a commanding 7-2 win in the final held at the Bwari Stadium, Abuja.

The game commenced with an early lead for Palm Syrup when Christian Otu capitalized on a goalkeeping error by Tudun Wada’s Muwada Muhammad, securing their first goal in the 14th minute.

However, Tudun Wada swiftly responded, with Yusuf Mohammed leveling the score at 1-1 in the 23rd minute.

Palm Syrup regained the lead with a stunning goal by Abraham David, putting them ahead at 2-1.

Tudun Wada displayed resilience as Rabiu Abdullahi exploited a defensive lapse from Palm Syrup to equalize once again.

In the second half, Rabiu Abdullahi notched his second goal, propelling Tudun Wada into a 3-2 lead.

Further goals came from Ashiru Ibrahim, Yusuf Mohammed, and Mubarak Sani, solidifying Tudun Wada’s impressive 7-2 victory.

Additionally, as part of their triumph, Tudun Wada also received an 18-seater bus from the sponsor.
