Tottenham Hotspur boss Ange Postecoglou has admitted the club could sign a new attacker in January.
Son Heung-Min said he felt Spurs were “soft” in Thursday’s home defeat to West Ham, when they failed to make the most of a strong first half as the Hammers turned the game around after the break. And now the club could act in the winter window.
“We are still well short in that area,” Postecoglou said during Friday’s news conference. “It’s still the area where we’ve got so much more upside in our front third to score more goals.
“I really feel like, apart from some areas where we need to keep working on, our front third stuff we’ve got so much more improvement to get to as a team.
“It’s not easy. When you’re talking about the finished product you know what that’s going to cost and there aren’t that many there.
“It’s about developing our players here and giving more information and room for them to continue to grow and understand the different options they have in those areas. Some of it’s just experience of them being in those positions and us giving them the information to execute better next time.”
