The Adamawa State Police Command apprehended a 17-year-old boy over allegations of engaging in an inappropriate act with a rooster.
Describing the act as an ‘unnatural offense’, the Command disclosed in a press statement released on Friday that the boy was arrested following a complaint filed by Esther Dimas, a resident of Viniklang, a community located in Girei Local Government Area, near the Jimeta axis of Yola, the state capital.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Nguroje, mentioned in the statement that the complainant had caught the teenage suspect in the act, prompting the report to the authorities.
“Another 17-year-old suspect identified as Lawali Mori, a resident of Viniklang, has been arrested for having unlawful carnal knowledge of a cock against the order of nature,” the Police stated.
According to the statement, the suspect confessed that he sexually assaulted the cock, although “he could not add reasons to why he did such a thing.”
The statement added that the state Commissioner of Police, CP Afolabi Babatola, had ordered a discreet investigation into the matter.
