Vice President Kashim Shettima has instructed the management of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) to swiftly mobilize and offer essential assistance to the victims affected by a devastating drone attack on the Tudun Biri community in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
During a scheduled visit to Kaduna on Thursday to extend condolences to the government and people of Kaduna State following the tragic incident, Shettima, visibly moved by the situation at the hospital, directed NEMA to ensure the affected victims receive ample relief materials.
He highlighted the Federal Government’s plans to uplift Tudun Biri village, which currently lacks fundamental services like schools and hospitals. Additionally, he mentioned the imminent commencement of the Pullako Initiative, spearheaded by President Bola Tinubu’s administration. This initiative aims to enhance the lives of rural inhabitants and rejuvenate areas affected by insecurity.
He said, “The President approved the commencement of the Pullako Initiative by next month. The Pullako Initiative is the President’s unique response as a non-kinetic approach to the challenges in the North West.
“The benefiting States are Sokoto, Kebbi, Zamfara, Katsina, Kaduna, and for equity and justice, we deliberately included Niger and Benue States.”
The Vice President commended religious leaders and community elders for standing firm against what he called a conspiracy to politicize the incident to inflame sentiments.’
