On Monday, suspected cultists believed to be affiliated with a certain General ‘Danger’ raided the Egbeh community in Ubie kingdom, Ahoda West Local Government Area of Rivers State. They kidnapped three individuals, including a woman.
Reports from the community indicated that the bodies of the three abducted individuals were discovered later in the day along the Egbeh and Ebiriba Road area in Ubie Kingdom.
Before the abduction, the two male victims, who are now deceased, allegedly had a dispute with a woman identified as the mother of General ‘Danger’. She reportedly threatened retaliation against them.
General ‘Danger’ is reputedly the leader of the Iceland cult group in that vicinity.
Additionally, it was revealed that the abducted woman was romantically involved with one of the abducted males. Meanwhile, the woman identified as the mother of General ‘Danger’ has fled the community.
Following the abduction, chaos ensued in the community, prompting residents to raise an alarm and initiate a search for the missing individuals.
A source said, “We started searching to know where the boys took the three people to. We started hearing gunshots between Egbeh and Ebiriba Road.
“Later when community people went there, they saw the bodies of the three people that these bad boys have killed.”
When contacted, the spokesperson of the Rivers State Police Command, Grace Iringe-Koko, confirmed the incident, saying the investigation is ongoing to apprehend the suspects and make them face the law.
Iringe-Koko, a Superintendent of police stated, “Yes I’m aware of the incident, three persons were killed and we are making efforts to ensure that the perpetrators are arrested and meant to face justice. The investigation is ongoing as we speak.”
