Arsenal are hoping to agree a new deal with defender Takehiro Tomiyasu to prevent Bayern Munich from trying to sign him, according to Football Insider.
The German league leaders have expressed an interest in making a move for the 25-year-old Japan international, but talks are said to be progressing well between him and the Gunners.
Tomiyasu remains a key part of boss Mikel Arteta’s plans, and he was named the club’s player of the month despite not featuring in every game that month.
