LivingTrust Mortgage Bank Plc secured the award for the second consecutive year as the Participating Financial Institution making the most significant impact on facilitating credit access for Micro, Small, and Medium Scale Enterprises (MSMEs) in the 2023 Development Bank of Nigeria Service Ambassadors Awards.
As per the bank’s statement, it extends credit to first-time borrowing MSMEs through its credit origination system, maintaining an impressively low non-performing loan ratio.
The award organizers, DBN, commended Livingtrust Bank for its exceptional performance in enabling access to credit for MSMEs without a credit history, thereby significantly contributing to DBN’s core objective.
Dr. Adekunle Adewole, Managing Director of LivingTrust, expressed gratitude to DBN for acknowledging the bank’s distinctive initiatives in supporting the growth and success of typically disadvantaged MSMEs.
“Livingtrust Mortgage Bank Plc is pleased to receive this award for two consecutive years, having also received the award for the 2022 financial year. As a bank, we have operational footprints in communities where we are the only financial institution physically present.
“In these communities, we play significant roles in driving financial inclusion by making credit available to small businesses to spur economic activities in rural areas. We are proud of what we have achieved and we intend to do more in this regard,” Adewole stated.
LivingTrust was represented at the award ceremony by its Executive Director, Dr. Olumide Adedeji; Group Head, of Treasury and Institutional Partnership, Mr. Charles Olaluwoye and Group Head, of Legal and Corporate Strategy, Mr. Timothy Gbadeyan.
