Arsenal Set to Make £120 Million Bid for Victor Osimhen

The competition to secure the signature of Nigerian international Victor Osimhen is reaching new heights, according to UK tabloid Teamtalk. The latest reports suggest that Arsenal is making a formidable push for the striker, earmarking a substantial £120 million to secure his services from Napoli.

While Chelsea had previously declared Osimhen as their top priority for the January transfer window, Arsenal has thrown its hat into the ring, expressing a keen interest in the 24-year-old striker to bolster their attacking lineup.

Osimhen’s stellar performance for Napoli over the past 18 months has undoubtedly intensified the battle among top clubs for his signature. The upcoming transfer window promises to be a riveting chapter in Osimhen’s career as football giants vie for his talents.

Last season, he scored 31 goals across all competitions and helped Napoli end their drought for the Serie A title after a 33-year wait.

His impressive performances saw a host of clubs interested in his service during the summer but the Naples-based club managed to hold onto their star.

Napoli would like to extend his contract, but many top European clubs are interested in the Nigeria international, especially Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and Bayern Munich.

In a bid to win the race for the Nigerian, the North London club, who are without a league title since 2004, have prepared £120m to land the striker.

Should the Nigerian go to England for the reported fee, he could break the Premier League record of £106.8m paid by Chelsea for Enzo Fernandez.
