Ancelotti's Future Remains Uncertain as No Updates Surface

Real Madrid haven’t yet held contract renewal talks with Carlo Ancelotti, Cadena COPE radio reported on Monday, and while the Italian’s priority is staying at the Bernabeu, Manchester United would be interested in bringing him in to replace Erik ten Hag next summer.
Ancelotti’s Madrid deal expires at the end of the season and he has been repeatedly linked with taking the Brazil national team job.
He insisted last week that he would be prepared to wait on a renewal offer from Madrid until the last day of his contract, but according to COPE, the coach believes the club will offer him a new deal and he expects developments before the end of 2023.
Ancelotti has Premier League experience, having coached Chelsea from 2009 to 2011 and Everton from 2019 to 2021, and United — despite having won five of their last six Premier League games — have been inconsistent this season under Ten Hag, and are sixth in the table.
