President Bola Tinubu administered the oath of office to the eight newly appointed Permanent Secretaries on Monday. He had endorsed their appointments on Friday following their successful navigation through the Federal Civil Service’s selection process.
The swearing-in ceremony took place just before the commencement of this week’s Federal Executive Council meeting, which Tinubu is currently presiding over.
Among the recently appointed Permanent Secretaries are: Ndakayo-Aishetu Gogo, Adeoye Ayodeji, Rimi Abba, Bako Odoh, Omachi Omenka, Ahmed Umar, Watti Tinuke, and Ella Agbo.
Currently, President Tinubu is leading the FEC meeting, attended by Vice President Kashim Shettima. Other notable attendees include the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume; the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Dr. Folashade Yemi-Esan; and the Chief of Staff to the President, Hon Femi Gbajabiamila.
This FEC session on Monday also includes the presence of all ministers and select senior presidential aides, as approved by Tinubu.
