We are recording zero banditry, kidnapping in Kano – Brigade Commandant, Are

Brigadier General Jamiu Olayinka Are, the Brigade Commandant of the Nigeria Army’s Bukavor Barrack 3 Mechanized Brigade, proudly stated that there have been no reported incidents of banditry, kidnapping, or other criminal activities by non-state actors in Kano and its surrounding areas.

During a visit by members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) in Kano, Are credited the sustained peace in Kano to the diligent work of the Joint Security Taskforce.

He said, “In Kano, the synergy we have with other security agencies has yielded positive results and continues to make it easy for us to keep the state safer than ever before”.

He mentioned that the efforts of the security forces in Falgore Forest have successfully curbed the entry of non-State Actors into Kano and its surrounding areas, allowing travelers on that route to move without fear.

In an earlier statement, Aminu Ahmad Garko, the State Chairman of the Correspondents Chapel of the NUJ, expressed the readiness of journalists to collaborate with the military and other security agencies in disseminating information effectively.
