The Ewi of Ado-Ekiti, Oba Ruphus Adeyemo Adejugbe Aladesanmi 111, has officially conferred the title of EYEGBA of Ado-Ekiti upon Yeye Bola Aderoju in a vibrant ceremony held at the historic palace in Ado-Ekiti.
Accompanied by esteemed community leaders, women representatives, council chairpersons from Ado-Ekiti Local Government and Local Development areas, Yeye Aderoju underwent traditional rites at the palace, solidifying her new position.
As the newly installed EYEGBA, Yeye Aderoju assumes the esteemed role of “The Leader of All Women in Ado-Ekiti (Olori Obinrin of Ado-Ekiti).”
Oba Adejugbe offered prayers for the newly appointed female chief, encouraging her to steadfastly champion the interests of the community, especially advocating for women.
Additionally, the monarch invoked blessings for enduring peace, stability, and advancement in Ado-Ekiti, the largest town and capital of Ekiti State.
Expressing gratitude, Yeye Aderoju thanked Oba Adejugbe for deeming her worthy of such a distinguished honor and pledged unwavering allegiance to the paramount ruler of Ado-Ekiti.
During the occasion, Eyegba reiterated her commitment to furthering women’s development initiatives in Ado-Ekiti, urging everyone to extend their fullest support and cooperation towards this cause.
