Roma’s manager, Jose Mourinho, is eyeing a potential move to acquire defenders Trevoh Chalobah and Malang Sarr from his former club, Chelsea.
Having already secured the transfers of Tammy Abraham from Chelsea and Chris Smalling from Manchester United, Mourinho is reportedly considering Chalobah and Sarr, according to reports from Calciomercato.
Both players currently seem to be out of contention for regular first-team action under Chelsea’s manager Mauricio Pochettino. Chalobah has been grappling with injuries, sidelining him for the entire season thus far, while Sarr hasn’t made appearances in any matchday squads.
Considering their limited playing opportunities, Chelsea might be open to suitable bids from Roma in 2024 for the departure of either player. This scenario could pave the way for Chalobah and Sarr to potentially make a move to Roma under Mourinho’s guidance.
