Singer Azeez Fashola, widely known as Naira Marley, and Balogun Samson, aka Sammy Larry, were released by the Lagos State Police Command on Friday after fulfilling their bail requirements.
Police Public Relations Officer Benjamin Hundeyin, a Superintendent of Police, confirmed the release in a brief statement, stating, “Naira Marley and Sammy Larry, having met their bail conditions, have been released.” The duo had secured bail conditions granted by Justice Adeola Olatunbosun of the Lagos State Magistrates’ Court.
The judge on Monday, November 6 granted the duo bail in the sum of N20m with three responsible duties.
“As part of the bail conditions, the defendants are to surrender their passports and make weekly appearances at the State Criminal Investigation Department,” Olatunbosun ruled.
