The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has said that the announcement of Bayelsa State Governorship Election Results will continue today.
Already results announced so far were in favour of the sitting governor, Douye Diri as he has already won five local governments out of the six announced so far while Timipre Sylva has won only one local government which is Nembe.
For Douye Diri, he has won Ekeremor, Ogbia, Kolokuma Opokuma, Yenagoa and Sagbama.
The two local governments remaining now, Brass the country home of Sylva and the largest local government in the country, Southern Ijaw will be announced tomorrow when the results come in.
Of course the two local governments are in the sea the reason why they are not yet ready.
By tomorrow afternoon, the winner will emerge and from all indications, the the incumbent is already tilting to victory as he already won five local governments out of the eight.
