Lagos State Government has said that it will do everything possible to restore the stable electricity supply at Imota Rice Mill, Ikorodu.
Special Adviser to Lagos State Governor on Mineral Resources, Engr. Abiola Olowu said this Monday afternoon when he went inspecting some ongoing and completed electrification projects at Imota and environs.
Engineer Olowo said the Babajide Sanwo-Olu Administration will do everything within its power to ensure a stable power supply to Imota Rice Mill and surrounding communities.
In a statement released by the state government on its X handle the same evening, Olowu stated that the State Government had conceived and initiated some electrification projects towards proffering a lasting solution to the inadequate power supply to the mill, adding this will be done as soon as upgrading works are completed on some of the installations in the area.
While assuring that safety gadgets put in place to protect the rice mill are still intact, the Special Adviser stressed that the State Government is making efforts to ensure the full restoration and constant supply of power to the entire area.
Earlier, the Imota Rice Mill site Engineer from the Ministry of Agriculture, Engr. Hassan Oladipupo thanked the Sanwo-Olu Administration for the projects, describing them as the perfect solution to the epileptic power supply in Imota and its environs.
