The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC) have declared an immediate and total strike in Imo State starting from midnight today.
This decision was reached during an “extraordinary” National Executive Council (NEC) meeting held today.
The leaders of both unions are protesting against the brutal attack on NLC President Joe AJaero and other labour leaders, as well as other issues.
They have warned that if their demands are not met, they will declare a nationwide strike by Tuesday, November 14. Further details are yet to be released.
