President Bola Tinubu Extends Condolences to Canada and Victims of Abuja Canadian High Commission Fire
President Bola Tinubu expressed his condolences to the Canadian Government and the victims of the recent fire at the Canadian High Commission in Abuja. The statement, released by his Special Adviser (Media and Publicity) Ajuri Ngelale, conveyed the President’s sympathy on Monday.

 The fire, which tragically resulted in two fatalities and severe burns for two others, took place at the High Commission of Canada in Abuja’s Central Business District. Amiola Adebayo, FCT Fire Service’s Head of Operations, confirmed the incident, mentioning the fatalities and the hospitalization of about three to four other individuals.

The statement which conveyed the President’s condolences read, “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu sympathises with the Canadian government, the diplomatic community, and all persons affected by a fire incident which occurred on Monday at the Canadian High Commission in Abuja.

“The President assures the Canadian authorities of the full support of the Nigerian government in the aid of diplomatic and local staff of the High Commission who were particularly affected by the incident.

“President Tinubu prays for the repose of the departed souls and wishes all injured persons a rapid and full recovery.”
