Ekiti SUBEB trains technical officers on digital project monitoring

Ekiti State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), in collaboration with the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC), has organized a One-Day Training Program for its Technical Officers in digital project monitoring in alignment with global best practices.

The flag-off ceremony of the training program in Ado Ekiti was graced by the SUBEB Executive Chairman, Prof. Femi Akinwumi, who emphasized the significance of the training. He stressed that it is essential for technical officers to embrace digital methods in their job performance.

The SUBEB Chairman reaffirmed the State Government’s commitment to exposing officers to modern techniques for conducting monitoring activities through digitalization, highlighting the undeniable importance of E-Monitoring in today’s interconnected world.

He expressed his gratitude to UBEC for their continued support and their role as a valuable partner in Ekiti State’s progress. Akinwumi also thanked Dr. Hammid Bobboyi, the Executive Secretary of UBEC, who was represented by the UBEC State Coordinator, Mr. Tokunbo Olajubu, for his unwavering efforts to enhance the activities of the physical planning department within Ekiti SUBEB.

Akinwumi urged the participants to take full advantage of the training and ensure they make effective use of the digital equipment provided by UBEC.

The Permanent Secretary of Ekiti SUBEB, Mr. Afolabi Adebiyi, in his welcome address, emphasized that training is an ongoing process where individuals continually seek to acquire more knowledge and skills throughout their lives. He noted that the digital expertise introduced by the National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA) would significantly enhance the efficiency of the participants in their job roles.

Adebiyi expressed his appreciation to the NASRDA facilitators, led by Mrs. Belinda Odia, for introducing the participants to modern instrument administration techniques that will aid them in their project monitoring responsibilities.
