Breaking: Ohinoyi of Ebira land, Ado Ibrahim dies at 95

Ado Ibrahim, the esteemed paramount ruler of Ebira land in Kogi State, has passed away. He left this world in the early hours of Sunday after a short bout of illness. At the age of 95, he will be laid to rest in accordance with Islamic customs.

It is worth noting that Ado Ibrahim ascended to the throne of Ohinoyi of Ebira land in 1997, a position he received from the then-Governor of Kogi State, the late Prince Abubakar Audu. He succeeded Alhaji Sanni Omolorim, who had reigned from 1957 to 1997.

Born on February 7, 1929, Ado Ibrahim received a well-rounded education, attending both Western nursery and Quranic schools. He completed his primary education in 1940 at the Native Authority (NA) primary school in Okene, Northern Region (now Kogi State).

He initiated his secondary education journey at Ondo Boys High School and later transferred to Oduduwa College, where he graduated in 1949. In 1954, he earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the London School of Economics, and in 1959, he obtained a master’s degree from Harvard Business School.
