The Lagos State Government has taken the step to close Alade Market in the Onigbongbo area of the state due to environmental violations, including issues like uncleanliness and burning of refuse.
The Commissioner of Environment and Water Resources for the state, Tokunbo Wahab, shared this information on his social media page on Wednesday.
He mentioned, “Alade Market in Onigbongbo has been temporarily closed because of multiple environmental violations, including the absence of waste bins, unsanitary surroundings, unauthorized burning of refuse by the roadside, improper disposal of waste, and non-compliance with the #Lawma_gov regulations.”
