222 confirmed hostage in Gaza – Israeli military

The Israeli military has updated the count of individuals being held captive in Gaza to 222, according to their latest statement.

As a result, the Israeli military has been conducting cross-border raids with the objective of gathering information about these captives.

Israeli military spokesperson, Daniel Hagari, confirmed that Israeli soldiers have been involved in these incursions within Gaza.

Hagari further mentioned that the process of confirming the number of hostages in Gaza, now standing at 222, was prolonged due to the presence of “a significant number” of foreign nationals among them.

He informed the press that these raids, conducted by armored and infantry units, were aimed at neutralizing terrorist cells preparing for future phases of conflict. Additionally, Israeli forces were actively seeking information regarding the whereabouts of the captives.

On Sunday, reports emerged of an Israeli soldier being killed and three others sustaining injuries from a missile strike in Gaza.
