The Super Eagles of Nigeria are the most valuable national football team in Africa, worth €451.60 million, and are ranked 10th in the world.
This information was posted on the team’s official Twitter handle. The Nigerian senior national team is the only African team that made it to the top 10 ranking of world football. The tweet reads, “We are now ranked as the 10th most valuable squad in the world and the most valuable squad in Africa.”
The Three Lions of England, valued at €1.37 billion, are in the number one position, with France in second place with a €1.05 billion net worth. Portugal, led by Cristiano Ronaldo, is in third place with a net worth of €990.00 million, while Brazil occupies the fourth position with a net worth of €969.00 million. Spain claims the fifth position with a net worth of €811.00 million.
The current World Cup holders, Argentina, are rated sixth with a net worth of €797.50 million, followed by Germany with a net worth of €789.50 million. Italy and the Netherlands are placed eighth and ninth with net worths of €636.50 million and €519.00 million, respectively.
The Super Eagles will face Lesotho and Zimbabwe in November as they race to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The 1994 African champions are in group A with the hosts, Ivory Coast, Equatorial Guinea, and Guinea-Bissau, at the 2023 African Nations Cup, which commences in January 2024.
