Police Relocate Man City vs. Liverpool Match in November Due to Fan Issues

According to a report from the Daily Mail, the highly anticipated Premier League showdown between Manchester City and Liverpool, scheduled for November 25th, has faced a rescheduling due to mounting concerns related to fan trouble. Initially, the match was planned for a 5.30 pm kickoff at the Etihad Stadium, with Sky Sports set to broadcast the game in the late Saturday slot.

The decision to alter the match’s timing comes in the wake of issues arising during previous encounters between these two football giants. The local safety advisory group, which includes input from law enforcement, is poised to withhold permission for the fixture to occur in the early evening. This change aims to ensure a safer and more secure environment for fans and the general public in light of the historical challenges faced by authorities when these teams clash on the pitch.

As a result, the game has been brought forward to 12.30 pm with the decision having a knock-on effect on Arsenal’s trip to Brentford. That fixture had been penciled in to kick off at 12.30 pm on TNT Sports.

But the City switch means that the two fixtures will effectively swap times, with the broadcasters keeping their original matches and following suit.
