According to authorities, 62 incidents of suspected male disappearance have been recorded in Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory.
Haruna G. Garba, the FCT Commissioner of Police, said in a statement on Friday that 51 of the 62 instances reported to the command were found to be false alarms.
He stated that the individuals who had activated the alarms had been apprehended and prosecuted in court.
As a result, he urged citizens to constantly work with security personnel in order to keep the city crime-free.
“The first case of male organ disappearance was first recorded in Gwagwalada on September 21, 2023,” he stated. It has spread across FCT, with a total of sixty-two (62) cases as of today.
He said, “The first case of male organ disappearance was first recorded in Gwagwalada on 21/09/2023. It has spread all over FCT whereby as of today we have had a total of sixty-two (62) cases reported.”
“Fifty-one (51) suspects charged to court for giving false information and inciting public disturbance. To this end, I want to reiterate my commitment and willingness to always work with you (residents of FCT) to defeat crime in all its forms in the Federal Capital Territory,” the statement added
