Tinubu to assess ministers’ performance quarterly

Ministers would be evaluated quarterly and graded annually, according to Hadiza Usman, Special Assistant to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Policy Coordination.

After a recent meeting in Abuja with Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, the minister of defense, Usman revealed this in a video.

She claims that the Tinubu administration will make sure that each minister fulfills the responsibilities allocated to them.

The assessment is anticipated to start in January 2024, according to the previous managing director of the Nigeria Port Authority.

“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has mandated us to engage with ministries to ensure they meet up with their deliverables.

“We will have a quarterly assessment and be graded yearly for all the Ministries.

“Assessment will commence for all the Ministries from January 2024, where we will determine what has been delivered. At the end of the year, there will be a full performance scorecard.

“We will have clarity on exactly what deliverables are for each Minister and will be contained in a performance bond”, he stated.
