Amaju Pinnick, a former President of the Nigerian Football Federation, has criticized Afrobeats musician Davido for skipping the 19th installment of Warri Again.
The ‘Feel It’ singer allegedly earned $94,600 for his appearance at the event in Delta State, according to the FIFA executive.
Pinnick added that the state spent an additional $18,000 to charter a jet to transport the musician and his team to Warri..
The football administrator expressed disappointment in the superstar’s absence at the event, which was held on Friday, October 6.
Akeliscious reports that OBO, who was named as the headline act for the event, was eventually replaced with “Evien” crooner Shallipop.
Pinnick told the crowd present at the event.
“Davido was paid $94,600 and a private jet worth $18,000 was booked for his performance in Warri, Delta State, but unfortunately, he didn’t show up.”
Footage of Pinnick’s rant has set the social media space agog, leaving Nigerians with mixed reactions.
