Okocha backs Chukwueze to shine at AC Milan

Austine Okocha, a former captain of the Super Eagles, thinks Samuel Chukwueze has the potential to develop into a key member of the AC Milan team.

In the summer, Chukwueze moved from LaLiga team Villarreal to AC Milan.

But, the 24-year-old has had a sluggish start to life at his new club.

Since joining the team, the player has only started two games for the Rooseneri in all competitions.

Moreover, Chukwueze has yet to score or provide an assist for the former European champions.

Okocha has supported his compatriot to succeed at the San Siro despite the early difficulties.

“He’s been outstanding in the last few years now,” Okocha told LiveScore.

“He’s been faced with a new challenge and it’s all about how quickly he can adjust.

“Language is always important because it’s always good to be able to communicate but his talent is never in doubt.

“I think he’s a great addition to the Milan team and I have no doubt that he will do well.”
