Fubara hails Tribunal victory, urges Rivers people to be patient with his administration

Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has characterized the ruling of the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal in Abuja, which dismissed the petitions filed by the Labour Party Candidate, Beatrice Itubo, and the Accord Party’s Dumo Lulu-Briggs on Monday, as an affirmation of the trust placed in him by the people of the state.

Fubara made these remarks during a brief thanksgiving service held at the Chapel of Everlasting Grace, Government House, Port Harcourt, on Monday night. This information was conveyed in a statement released in Port Harcourt by his Special Assistant on Media, Boniface Onyedi.

The Governor reiterated his commitment to the welfare of the state’s residents, emphasizing that he will not disappoint their expectations of his administration. He emphasized that his administration’s commitment to God would not be compromised, and the thanksgiving service was convened to express gratitude for God’s continuous guidance.

Fubara expressed his belief that it was God who made his election as governor possible and ensured the tribunal’s affirmation of his victory. He particularly thanked the former governor of Rivers State and the current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Chief Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, for his strong support during the gubernatorial election and the subsequent legal proceedings.

The governor also called on the people of Rivers State to be patient as his administration works towards delivering good governance that will improve their lives.

During his sermon, Rev. Barasin Ogan, the Chaplain of the Chapel of Everlasting Grace, Government House, Port Harcourt, emphasized the importance of giving thanks to God. He declared that the hand of God is upon Governor Fubara and prayed for his strength to administer justice fairly and show continuous mercy without bias.
