In the Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State, bandits launched an attack on a settlement within the Anguwaku community. During the attack, they tragically took the life of one local resident and kidnapped 19 others.
While the Kaduna Police Command had not yet responded to the incident, Mukaddas Tanimu, the Secretary of the Anguwan Makera Community, provided information to journalists. He revealed that the majority of those abducted were women.
Tanimu disclosed that the bandits carried out the invasion of the community around midnight on Saturday, causing injuries to another community member.
“They are yet to contact the victims’ families. The deceased victim is Kukah Yari, while Abuki Dogo was injured.
“The kidnapped individuals are Yakubu Abba, Basiru Maiwada, Keziya Silas, Peace Silas, Lami Istifanus, Habila Musa, Bege Lazarus, Joshua Abuki, Juliana Habila, Stelah Yohanna, Genesis Ezekiel, Deborah Ezekiel, Salomi Dutse, Rifkatu Zephaniah, Tamar Lazarus, Ejah Habila, Rejoice Ezikeil, Catharine Silas, and Gundu Rubu,” the local said.
