Three Nigerian women, Adejoke Opeyemi-Ogungbire, Aderonke Sakpere, and Ebenezer Chris-Ajah, have been selected to participate in the TechWomen 2023 program. TechWomen, an initiative of the United States aimed at advancing women’s and girls’ rights and participation in the global tech industry, provides opportunities for women to realize their full potential in the field.
Their selection was celebrated on the official Instagram account of the United States Diplomatic Mission in Nigeria on Thursday. Will Stevens, the US Consulate General in Nigeria, extended his congratulations to them and encouraged them to make the most of their exchange experience.
During the five-week TechWomen program, emerging female leaders in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics engage in project-based mentorships at leading tech companies in Chicago, as well as professional development workshops and networking events.
