On Tuesday, women from Akwa Ibom State staged a protest against the recently passed Traditional Rulers Law, which was also assented to by Governor Umo Eno.
The protest involved more than 300 women representing various ethnic groups such as Annang, Oro, and Obolo in the state. They gathered at the State House of Assembly to voice their strong condemnation of the amended law.
