An 80-year-old man known as Malam Rabiu also referred to as Na Allah Siraka has tragically passed away in a well in Sabon Sara, Gidan Aminu Ado, located in the Gwale Local Government Area (LGA) of Kano State.
This unfortunate incident transpired on Sunday morning, as reported by Alhaji Saminu Abdullahi, the Public Relations Officer of Kano State Fire Service, in a statement issued to the press in Kano.
“We received an emergency call at about 11:00 a.m from one Hassan Abduallhi, that a man has been trapped inside a well.
“We immediately sent our rescue team to the scene at about 11:07 a.m,’’ he said.
Abdullahi mentioned that Malam Rabiu had been living alone in his residence.
According to the PRO, the fire service rescue team successfully retrieved Rabiu’s lifeless body from the well.
He further noted that the deceased was then entrusted to the Ward Head of Sabon Sara, Alhaji Muhammad Salisu-Iman.
Abdullahi also stated that an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is currently underway.
